He Shou Wu
Contains: Wild and prepared He Shou Wu root, structured deep well water, pure gluten free alcohol and mineral salt.
The name He Shou Wu (ho-shoo-woo) roughly translates to “Mr. He’s black hair”, because of an interesting legend about a certain Mr. He.
Once, long ago, Mr. He was an old village drunk who had no direction or purpose in his life. He would frequently stumble from bar to bar where he would soon find himself not allowed in. One night, in a drunken stupor, he stumbled his way into the woods where he would pass out. He awoke to find that he fell asleep beneath a most usual looking vine. He thought it was so unusual that he dug up its roots and took the plant to the village medicine makers for investigation. The wise healers tasted the root to determine the potency and energy and decided on what way to process the roots. Steaming in sweet bean stew was the way the medicine makers decided to mitigate the harsh potency of the raw root. They instructed Mr. He to take a certain portion on a consistent basis for the maximum medicinal action. Mr. He did so and after a time, his life had become blessed. He had felt energy that had been gone since youth, new black hair had begun to grow plentifully on his where baldness had been for decades and he did not seem to be such an old decrepit man any longer. He raised more than a dozen children in the following years and continued in his little village as a functional member. A well respected, blessed man.
